of PLUS interactive whiteboards; prototype of first model is being
unveiled at INFOCOMM 2000.
ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, June 15, 2000 - The benefits
of PLUS Corporation's PC-compatible electronic copyboards will
now be plain to see in living color, as the company expands its
plain paper copyboard line-up at the INFOCOMM 2000 Show opening
today in Anaheim, California.
The new PLUS BF-040CP Series are the world's first PC-connectable
plain paper copyboards that allow users to communicate in living
color by printing text and graphics in red, blue, black and green
to either a personal computer or optional InkJet plain paper printer.
The new PLUS BF-040CP Series is being unveiled at Booth #2437
in the Anaheim Convention Center.
"In a world that is becoming increasingly information-driven by
the day, professional communicators and managers have come to rely
upon electronic copyboards as the one sure way to make certain that
everyone stays on the same page," today explained PLUS Director
of Sales Jim Hurst. "With an electronic copyboard at the center
of a meeting or presentation, everyone can concentrate on what is
being communicated - knowing that the final result can be immediately
printed out and/or downloaded to a personal computer."
According to Hurst, "Communications professionals are asking for
more copyboard options and PLUS is meeting that request with a
four color plain paper copyboard series that delivers full featured
performance, reliability and value - and the ability to print text
and graphics in red, green, blue and black. Plain paper copyboards
represent the fastest growing segment of the market today and the
new PLUS BF-040CP Series of copyboards, together with our current
BF-030PP Series of black and white plain paper copyboards, will
help us to meet the performance requirements of this growing customer
base."
The new PLUS BF-040CP Series of four-color plain paper copyboards
are available in both standard-sized (two 36" X 51" writing panels)
and wide-sized (two 36" X 71" writing panels) models that are compatible
for use with the following Hewlett-Packard DeskJet color printers:
970Cse/xi, 950C, 952C, 930C, 932C, 895Cse/xi, 880C, 882C, 840C,
842C, 830C, 832C, 810C, and 812C (all of which are optional purchases).
With the PLUS BF-040CP Series, users can print and/or download
text and graphics in either black and white or in red, green, blue
and black to either a compatible Hewlett-Packard printer or to a
personal computer. Printing modes include Color High Quality for
maximum color density, Color Economy for value, or standard Black
and White. Regardless of the print mode selected, all PLUS BF-040CP
Series copyboards feature built-in Windows 95/98 PC compatibility
and include PLUS Corporation's TWAIN Driver Software, which can
download information to a personal computer with TWAIN-supported
graphic software.
"The BF-040CP Series of four color plain paper copyboards is available
for immediate delivery," Hurst explained, "The standard-sized model
