ASKED QUESTIONS
General: I can't see the image
on my computer and the projector at the same time.
- Most computers will only support both the laptop screen and the projector
screen simultaneously if the projector resolution is the same as the
maximum laptop screen resolution. This is a hardware issue and there
is no software fix.
- If the laptop and the projector are the same resolution, be sure that
you have selected simultaneous display. Most laptop computers do not
automatically send out signals to external devices, such as projectors.
You must instruct your computer to send out a signal, and different
computer manufacturers do this in different ways. Check your users
manual. Look under "Enable External Monitor" or "Activate
External Monitor Port."
- Most manufacturers use a Function key. Look for a Function key (i.e.
F1, F2, etc.) with the letters "LCD/CRT," or a picture of
two monitors. Hold down the "Fn" key (lower left-hand corner
of the laptop) and press the appropriate Function key. You may have
to do this twice.
- If you cannot do simultaneous display with your computer, you can
set up a desktop monitor to show you a small screen. Attach the desktop
monitor to the RGB out port of the VP800 (illustrated on users
manual page 11.) The laptop screen stays off. The projector and desktop
monitor will show the images.
