Answer
The PoinTech has a LED located next to the function buttons. This LED
provides an indication about the current state of the PoinTech. The LED
has the following responses:
* No LED Light
There is a problem with the PoinTech serial cable or USB cable connection. Make sure
the cable is properly attached to your PC and PoinTech.
* Solid Yellow
The PoinTech is receiving power, but it cannot communicate with PoinTech
software. Make sure the black connector of PoinTech serial cable is
attached to a serial port on your PC and the blue-green connector is
attached to PoinTech. Make
sure the PoinTech application or ActiveMouse is running.
*
The stylus set or eraser you are
using is low on battery power or you are using PoinTech in a "noisy"
environment (with infrared interference). Change the battery in the
stylus or eraser. Use the Attach PoinTech Settings dialog box to test
the level of infrared interference in your working environment. If the
level of interference is causing problems, you will have to locate and
turn off the source of the interference or use PoinTech in a different
location.
* Solid Green
The PoinTech cable is connected properly and the PoinTech application
or ActiveMouse software is communicating with PoinTech. You are ready
to work.
