1.2 Installing the Software
| Please follow the on-screen instruction on Windows 98 to install the software for Windows. Simply follow this same instruction to install either Windows NT or Windows 2000 Professional. However with these two operating systems, you need to log in with an administrator privileges. |
| 1 | Insert the supplied CD-ROM to the CD-ROM drive on your computer. |
| 2 | The installation screen appears. Then Click on "ENGLISH" or "JAPANESE". |
| 3 | Follow the on-screen instructions to begin installation. |
| 4 | After the installation setup screen is displayed, you will see the Welcome screen. Click on the Next button. |
| 5 | On the Product License Agreement screen, click Yes if you agree with the terms of the license agreement. If you don't agree with these terms, you will not be able to use this product. |

Types
of Installation gives you three choices : Typical, Minimum, and Custom.
Often you will choose Typical. Choose Minimum to install the minimum number of files, and Custom to select the necessary files to install on your own. |

Next a screen appears prompting you to choose a location where the files to be installed to. Normally, PoinTech shall be chose. However, if you want to install to a different location, click the arrow to select the folder. |
| 8 | On the Setup Complete screen, click the Finish button. |
| 9 | Make sure that a PoinTech icon has been created on the Desktop. |
| Note: You may need to restart your Windows. Please follow the instructions. |
