New System Packs Full Copyboard Functionality in a Small Footprint, Including the Ability to Save and Print Notes in Color BEAVERTON, ORE. - April 3, 2008 - PLUS Vision Corporation of America today announced the release of the CR-5, a new, compact copyboard designed to fit in a small office or cubicle. The CR-5 gives employees working in small groups the same features and benefits of PLUS’ larger copyboards, including the ability to save color drawings and notes written on the copyboard surface and print or store them to a computer. The CR-5 is half the size of a regular copyboard and remarkably thin, measuring only W50 x H27 x D2.5. The copyboard can be mounted on a wall or mounted in a cubicle, with an optional cubicle mount kit, and an optional floor stand is available for free-standing use in either horizontal or vertical position. The CR-5 includes two writing surfaces and allows push-button operation to save the written content to a USB memory stick or print directly from the board with an attached optional printer. Furthermore, easy-to-use software enables users to operate the board and save the written content directly to a PC. "Every day around the globe, co-workers sit together in offices and cubicles discussing projects on a PC screen, which usually results in a lot of pointing at the screen and notes being hastily jotted down on paper," said Craig Heiman, director of sales for PLUS Vision. "Now, with the introduction of the CR-5, people can interact and collaborate more effectively – and when the discussions are finished, it's easy to save the electronic notes and share them with other colleagues by printing or emailing them." The CR-5 copyboard is available from PLUS distributor Dynamic Digital Technologies, and, in Mexico, Planeadores Vision. With a factory rebate included, the CR-5 is priced under $800 USD.
