Road Warriors, Sales And SOHO Professionals
BEAVERTON,
OR
July 16, 2001 Lightware, the leader in portable, affordable
projection technology, is introducing two 3-pound microportable
projectors, each at half the price of the nearest competitive product.
Based on Texas Instruments' Digital Light Processing ( ) technology,
the XGA Legend LX-8 and SVGA Legend LS-8 are just $2,695 and $1,795
respectively. Both come equipped with full multimedia capabilities,
providing mobile executives, sales professionals, government employees
and educators with a powerful presentation tool designed to travel
with ease.
With a footprint the size of a hardback novel and a depth of only
2.3 inches, the 800-lumen Legend series projectors slip into a bag
with a laptop with room to spare. For further mobility, Lightware's
laptop-free presentation solutions allow users to connect the Legend
to a Handspring Visor PDA or AverEPack digital slide presenter to
lighten the load.
"Lightware is leading the industry with our value proposition
for the Legend series, and our customers recognize and appreciate
this," Mark Hand, president and COO, Lightware, said. "Lightware
was first to break the 5-pound weight barrier; now we're first to
offer a 3-pound unit for $1,795. Wait until you see what comes next!"
Both the Legend LX-8 and LS-8 feature digital zoom, digital keystone
correction and one 1-watt speaker. Full multimedia compatibility
allows the Legend series to project from nearly any video source.
Additional features include video freeze-frame and HyperZoom, which
allows presenters to enlarge tiny images on the presentation screen,
making key messages and data points more memorable and impactful.
Both the Legend LX-8 and LS-8 include a wireless remote control,
PS/2 and USB mouse cables, all standard video, audio and power cables
and a soft carrying case.
