Unprecedented Functionality and Innovative Design Take Presentations to a New Level BEAVERTON, ORE. - Oct. 1, 2007 - PLUS Vision Corporation of America, a premier provider of DLP® projectors and electronic whiteboards, today introduced the CaptureBoard™, an entirely new tool for meetings and presentations. The CaptureBoard allows the user to project an image and write on the board's surface, and then capture the projected image along with the written information into a single digital file. The unprecedented functionality of the CaptureBoard makes common projection screens obsolete for most presentation applications. The CaptureBoard's unique "writable-screen" surface possesses the properties of a projection screen and a dry erase board, while its innovative design and easy-to-use software enable the projected image to be combined with the written data and saved to a computer. A projected image of up to 60 inches can be displayed on the board's matte-finish screen surface, which prevents reflection and projector lamp glare. Annotations and drawings can be readily added to the CaptureBoard's surface using PLUS dry erase markers. The user can add new ideas, amend old ones, stress particular points, and make notes either over the projected image or in the margins of the screen. When saved to a computer, the combined image provides a record of the meeting that can be easily distributed and referenced. The CaptureBoard software compiles the projected image and the written data. With the click of a mouse, the flexible screen surface scrolls to the back of the CaptureBoard to be scanned. The software then generates a composite of the projected image and the scanned handwritten notes. The composite can then be saved to a computer as an image file for distributing, editing, or printing. With the CaptureBoard, attendees can make meetings and presentations more dynamic and productive by adding handwritten notes and ideas to the projected image. Practical examples include business meetings in which budget spreadsheets are projected, discussed, and updated with new data; product design meetings that enable each team member to collaborate by viewing the proposed design and then contributing improvements; architectural meetings in which blueprints can be reviewed and floor plans modified; and athletic team meetings in which coaches can project photographs of plays and critique team performance. Like other PLUS products, the CaptureBoard was designed for ease of use, with an intuitive interface and minimal setup required. The CaptureBoard is wall-mountable and well suited for systems integration, or it can be used with a rolling floor stand and moved from room to room. The CaptureBoard can be used in almost endless business, meeting, and presentation environments, and its simplicity of design and ease of use guarantees that it will receive constant use. The CaptureBoard is now available for purchase through A/V equipment dealers, as well as other office products and office machine dealers. MSRP for the CaptureBoard is $2,495 USD About PLUS Vision Corp. of AmericaHeadquartered in Beaverton, Ore., PLUS Vision Corporation of America manufactures and markets full-featured PLUS brand electronic copyboards and the new CaptureBoard™.
